Traffic congestion is relatively lower in both cities, but with Anchorage having a slight edge in busier traffic conditions. However, public transit in Anchorage is more readily available, making it a bit easier for those without a car to navigate the city. The fact remains, though, that both cities present challenges in getting around without personal transportation, albeit to varying degrees.
